The VTCT Level 4 Award in Laser and Light Treatments for Skin Rejuvenation is designed for qualified practitioners who want to expand into advanced laser and IPL treatments for improving overall skin quality. This qualification develops the clinical knowledge and practical competence required to safely deliver rejuvenation treatments within a professional aesthetic setting.

Introduction:

Aligned with current professional and regulatory guidance, this award provides in depth understanding of light based technologies used for skin rejuvenation. Learners develop confidence in consultation, treatment planning and safe parameter selection while working within recognised industry standards.

Mandatory units include:
• Principles and practices of laser and light based skin rejuvenation
• Consultation, assessment and client care for skin rejuvenation
• Safe use of laser and IPL equipment for skin rejuvenation
• Practical skin rejuvenation treatment delivery and evaluation

Throughout the course, learners strengthen their understanding of skin structure, ageing processes and light tissue interaction, alongside developing the skills to assess, plan and deliver safe and effective rejuvenation treatments.

Treatments this qualification covers:
• Laser skin rejuvenation
• Intense Pulsed Light IPL skin rejuvenation

Prerequisite:

• You must be 18 or over.
• You must hold a regulated Level 3 qualification in beauty therapy with anatomy and physiology, or an equivalent Level 3 access or aesthetic therapy qualification. CPD only is not accepted.
