The VTCT Skills Level 4 Certificate in Advanced Aesthetic Therapies for Skin Rejuvenation is an advanced qualification designed for practitioners aged 18 and over who already hold a Level 3 qualification and are looking to expand their treatment portfolio.

This programme supports experienced therapists in developing the knowledge, clinical understanding, and practical competence required to safely and effectively deliver advanced skin rejuvenation treatments within a professional aesthetic setting.

Introduction:

This qualification has been developed in collaboration with employers and training providers and reflects current professional and regulatory body guidance. It equips practitioners with the knowledge, clinical understanding and practical competence required to deliver advanced skin rejuvenation treatments safely and professionally.

Learners must complete all mandatory units, aligned with recognised industry standards, ensuring ethical practice, public safety and professional responsibility.

Mandatory units include:

• Principles, practices and ethical considerations for advanced aesthetic therapies
• Consultative techniques in advanced aesthetic therapies
• Dermatological science for advanced aesthetic therapies
• Provide skin needling treatments for skin rejuvenation
• Provide superficial chemical peels for skin rejuvenation

Throughout the programme, learners develop advanced consultation, skin analysis and treatment planning skills, alongside Level 4 anatomy and physiology knowledge to support safe and effective practice.

Prerequisite

• You must be 18 or over.

• You must hold a regulated Level 3 qualification in beauty therapy with anatomy and physiology, or an equivalent Level 3 access/aesthetic therapy qualification. CPD is not accepted.
